The Top 50 places I've been to: #22 Brazil's Highest Mountain
Just some hundred kilometers north-west of Rio de Janeiro there is a granite mountain wonderland that is still relatively unknown - a hidden gem. Hiking beyond 2500m in Itatiaia National Park is just awesome. Climb needle shaped mountains and enjoy epic views over the lush Atlantic rainforest along the 'Green Coast'.
