Cycling 90 Kilometers: Von München Zum Tegernsee
It's the longest bike ride I've done for ages but the weather yesterday was just perfect for an extensive trip south (overcast with occasional rain). Every kilometer brings you closer to the mountains as you cycle through small villages and lush meadows. And the Tegernsee itself is beautiful with turquoise waters and surrounding mountains. It took us about 10 hours maybe but really going slow. Here are some impressions.
Und an alle Münchner: Die Strecke geht schön gelegen immer den sogenannten 'Wasserweg' entlang. Dieser folgt mehr oder weniger der BOB Strecke. Das heißt man kann jederzeit den Zug zurück nehmen wenn man nicht mehr kann ;)

The scenery there is awesome. How long was the trip and was it up hill?
It was about 10 hours and yeah there were some steep sections ( take a look at the elevation profile).
What a beautiful path you followed! Since this was a one way trek, are you planning on continuing to bike further? Would love to see more ^_^
No we also came back the same day :-) - I just plotted it one way.

Traveling by bike can be beautiful. I've done some bike camping and even a 10-day bike tour. The scenery from your trip is awesome; makes me want to head out to see some new places where I live.
Hört sich super an. Muss ich irgendwann auch mal in Angriff nehmen. In der Vergangenheit habe ich mein Montain-Bike lieber mit dem Auto zum Tegernsee gekarrt, um dann die Tegernseer Berge in Angriff zu nehmen. War auch nicht schlecht.
