Why did you get the impression that the monks were in a hurry to bury the artifacts?
Because all the relics were carefully preserved under the ground. Those relics seemed to be hidden to escape from the destruction or the extortion
Got it. Thanks for the explanation. I see now that you included that in your original post. Do you know if the monks had funeral practices which would have involved burying objects?
