Bowling at Punch Bowl Social

If you like places with lots to do, then The Punch Bowl Social is the place to be! It is located in downtown Portland, Oregon in a 5 story mall.

I went there with my daughter and her husband along with my two grandchildren.

They have a restaurant there where we had some great food. I got the lobster roll and it was fantastic! I didn’t get a picture of it because my grandson was wanting to go look at all the cool stuff around the place.

The whole place is configured in four quadrants in a round format. They have several bars and 4 lanes of bowling in each quadrant. Here is the bar that was in the restaurant area.

My grandson was ready to go look at all the exciting things they had to play with. So, I took him around as everyone else was waiting for our food. He found this pinball machine and we gave it a try. I hadn’t played a pinball machine for maybe 20 years! It was fun!

They have these little play areas scattered throughout the building and this one had a big Jenna game on the right. Check out those cool chairs.

They had two places with darts. I love playing darts and if I wasn’t with my grandson, I would have played some. Maybe next time.

But the main thing we came her for was the bowling. My grandson was excited to play. He are lanes 1-4. You can see they have comfy couches to sit on and they have a waitress that will bring you food or drinks.

He found the balls. This kept him busy for a little while, checking out the different weights and colors. He can lift even the heavier ones. He was ready to bowl, but I wanted to keep looking at the place.

Here is another bar area. Behind it they had several karaoke rooms that there were some people in, so I couldn’t get a picture. It sounded like they were having a great time.

Here is another seating area. You can take the Scrabble game off the wall and play it. How great is that?

He found some more pinball machines. We play for a little bit. He was a little small to see what was happening, but I lifted him up and he could pull the plunger to get the ball going. He did have fun.

We went back, ate our food, then is was bowling time. My grandson was ready for this!

My granddaughter wanted to play, but she is to small. Lol She did have fun with one of the bowling balls.

We all had a great time bowling. We each played two games. My grandson was able to throw the ball himself, but it went very slowly down the lane. He was very helpful when we were done with putting all the bowling balls back.

So, I would give the Punch Bowl Social an A+ for games to play, food to eat, drinks to drink and many things to do. I hope I can go again when I am in Portland!
