Twistleton Scar - Drone and Timelapse video

in #travel7 years ago

Hi Steemians

Last week, as you might know from my previous posts, we were up in Yorkshire, hiking and trekking around. I did manage to get the Mavic pro up on one occasion and also get a timelapse done. Both are included in this short video from the top of Twistleton Scar. The scar is a limestone pavement, formed when the area used to be under the sea. The ice age changed all that and this, and the surrounding mountains are now some of the highest and most beautiful in England. The mountain you see in the background on the timelapse is Ingleborough.

Hope you like the video

These are gorgeous! How much time do you have to film to capture 2 minutes of timelapse like this?

The actual time lapse bit of this is about 15 seconds of footage filmed over 2 or so hours. You can work it out as I did a shot every 15 seconds and it's 25 shots for every second in the final footage. 1 second of footage is about 6 minutes in real time

ah yeah that makes sense, just basic math. Cool

Beautiful video. The walls that we see in the video, I assume these are man made, perhaps by sheep farmers? They look very old...

I suspect you are right. They are all dry stone walls probably created by sheep farmers. There are quite a few sheep around that area.
