Dazzling Amsterdam : de Hallen
Hi there fellow steemians! Welcome to the sixth part of my series on Dazzling Amsterdam. It's about "de Hallen". De Hallen are located in the west part of Amsterdam. They're madeup out of a couple of buildings that used to do service as a tram-station. They were built between 1908 and 1928 and are now a national monument.
After a thorough renovation de Hallen is now a huge multifunctional building.
It holds a hotel, a library, several studio's and lot of shops. In the passages you can find several market stalls, selling a variety of goods.
There is even a movietheater inside:
But the main reason to pay de Hallen a visit is the incredible food you can get there:
Whether you like pizza, vietnamese, falafel, hamburgers or much more: it's all good!! Most of it is handmade and/or organic.
@eefje and I tried a dish called Moinkballs (no, not monkballs or monkeyballs😁) today. It's beefballs wrapped in bacon with a spicy sauce and it was delicious:
If you're a foodie and you're in Amsterdam, you simply MUST visit de Hallen or you'll be missing out.
Peace and love!
Beautiful place and i'm sure one can meet interesting people there
Great place to grab some food ;) Love it there!
