Santorini, a volcanic island in the Cyclades that rests in the middle of the Aegean, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greece-- and for good reason. Travel to Santorini and you will be treated to sweeping, dramatic ocean views, pristine beaches, including the black pebble beach of Kamari, traditional Grecian architecture, fine dining, and numerous, excellent local wineries. The island is a well-known international vacation spot and attracts throngs of tourists during peak season, but its local charm and beauty make Santorini travel an unforgettable experience despite the crowd.

When you arrive by boat to the island, you can see all the houses and hotels, but also restaurants located on the hill. The view from any spot there is simply breathtaking. The island has a secret combination of things that you simply won't find anywhere in the world. The sea is amazing and clean, the water transparent, the view is spectacular, the access is easy, the food is delicious, the nightlife is there, the hotels are top, the volcano is a must-visit place, people are friendly and last but not least, the sunset is the most beautiful one in the world!!

Most people going to Santorini are not party people. It is mostly couples and tourists who like quality. Partying is fine. But all the rest Santorini has to offer will simply stay engraved in your mind for a lifetime.
Who can resist not going, thinking of chilling with a nice cocktail next to this pool with that view!

There are a few things not to miss as activities in Santorini:

• Visiting the Museum of Prehistoric Thira, where you can view artifacts found in the ruins of Akrotiri
• Wine tasting at one of the island’s numerous vineyards, including Santo Wines, Argiros Estate, Roussos Winery and Boutari Winery
• Scuba diving and snorkeling off of one of the island’s pristine beaches
• Relaxing on one of the islands many beaches, including Vlychada, a nude beach, and Red Beach, renowned for its spectacular snorkeling

In case you are wondering when is the best time to go to Santorini:

Peak season on the island begins in early April and ends in late September. While the island is generally far more crowded and expensive during this time period, a visit to Santorini during the island’s off-season is not recommended, as the temperature drops, and the weather turns rainy and windy. In addition, a large percentage of local restaurants and hotels close their doors, making it difficult to fully enjoy the vacation spot.

Everything starts with a nice breakfast with this view!!

Do not forget to also visit the Mylos restaurant.

You can then walk around the island with views that will leave you speechless! Make sure you have space on your camera memory!

The hotels are ridiculous. You can't imagine how they are designed. With indoor pools in canal shape, with stunning views from every corner of any room. I just can't explain it... you have to see it live!

I suggest you buckle up and plan a trip with friends or as a couple. You won't regret it. Guaranteed!
