I really need to come tagging along on one of your hunts. That navy blue color in the tiffany is such a cool color to see on the inside of a rock. I've never heard of bacon opal, but after seeing that photo, I'd like a piece. Are land owners usually friendly? Was there a house or something on property you could go knock on the door and ask to dig? If not...then who would be there to catch you? Just saying, lol.
