My journey to Moscow Zoo.
Today I want to talk about the visit amazing place - it is Moscow Zoo. In the zoo you can see the many different and rare animals.
Moscow Zoo has a very large territory, so to see all the animals need a lot of time.
Moscow Zoo - it's one of the oldest zoos in Europe. It was opened January 31, 1864.
At the entrance, the first thing you can see - this is a huge carp in the pond. Their dimensions are about a meter. You can not take a lot of bread to feed these large fish.
Birds of the Moscow Zoo, which I particularly remember:
Red Flamingo.
Red flamingo attracts the eye with its amazing beauty.
Red flamingos inhabit the islands of the Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico and the Galapagos Archipelago. Breeds on the coasts large ocean bays.
Currently, red and pink flamingo isolated as separate species. View Red flamingo is brought in the International Red Book. Flamingo - it is a very beautiful bird with the characteristic color from pink to scarlet.
Sarus Crane, Antigone.
Indian crane symbolizes fidelity and sense of kinship.
It lives in the south-east and east Asia. In the north, northwest and western India, is found in the countries of Indochina (Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia).
These cranes are not afraid of the presence of people, they are revered for their loyalty to each other. It is said that in the event of the death of one of the birds, the second too soon perish, smashing his head on the rocks.
Black vulture.
The black vulture is a rare bird. Despite the protected status of these birds continue to kill.
It lives in the North-West Africa, Southern Europe and Central Asia. It inhabits mountainous areas with open space.
Black vulture - is the largest bird of peace.
Great White Egret.
Great white heron - is a large bird of the family Heron, common in warm tropical latitudes.
It lives in Europe, Asia, North and South America, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Living on the coast, along the banks of rivers. It is found in the fields, especially wet rice, along drainage ditches.
Large white cockatoo.
Large white cockatoo relates to vulnerable species. The exact number is unknown in nature, but unfortunately it is reduced. A large number of parrots are caught for sale, but this species breeds in captivity and therefore extinction does not threaten.
It lives in the northern Molucca Islands archipelago and not found elsewhere.
Large white cockatoo lives in dense forests with poor visibility large communities. Cockatoo spends the night in large flocks on the branches of tall trees. They use the same tree flock for many years.
