Calaguas Native and Virgin Island Part 1 (Day 1)

Hi! Steemit Community! I would like to share and recommend this island.

The native virgin island Calaguas is located in the province of Camarines Norte, Region V, Philippines.

How to get there?

Calaguas Island is composed of the awesome islands such as Tinaga Island, Guintinua Island, Maculabo Island and other minor islands. To be able to go there you should experience the challenging ride 8 to 10 hours ride from Manila to Vinzons. We started travelling around 12:30 am (July 5, 2017). Afterwards, you will reach the Camarines Norte proper (Vinzons). We went to the wet market to buy flesh meat, fish and vegetables. Then, from the Poblacion of Vinzons, we rent a boat with a capacity of 40 persons. Big Boat from Vinzons to Mahabang Buhangin: Php 500.00 / head good for 2 nights and 3 days. Also, we secure our clearance to travel in the Coast Guard District of Bikol.

We travelled for almost 2 hours and half an hour.

1530H ETA Mahabang Buhangin, Calaguas Island

Experiencing the powdery white sands of Calaguas Island.

Its local communities have the efforts to safeguard and protect the native life of the island. Their advocacy is to preserve the quiet and peaceful nature of Calaguas Island. Everyone is helping the community towards the better local eco-tourism in the island.
