Roses Restaurant on Orcas Island
As a fine dining experience Roses Restaurant in Eastsound on Orcas Island in the Puget Sound was very nice. The service and food were wonderful.
When you are on vacation it is fun to eat in a nicer restaurant. Real flowers on the table is a special touch that you don’t see in many of the more budget minded places.
There was no white tablecloth, but I really don’t mind that (I actual don’t like tablecloths much) and besides those types of places are usually a bit out of the budget.

The outside of the restaurant was decorated nicely. It looks like the camera photographed raindrops coming down that show up against the darker areas of the eves and door and it gives the feel of the typical weather around the Puget Sound.

Right by the entrance there is a small store with all kinds of interesting delicatessen goodies. It has a very nice selection considering the low population in the area (only around 5000 people live on the Island circa 2018)

Here’s my personal lunch selection of a pizza with arugula and potatoes on it. It was very tasty. I sampled some of the fish selections my other family members had and they were good too. (Occasionally I eat fish although I’m mostly vegetarian)

The dinning area was filled with mostly older people. As I recall, in the past places like this had a lot more younger professional looking people. Perhaps they don’t go on vacation around these types of places or maybe the demographics of who eats at these restaurants is shifting.

The idea of some family time really makes me feel warm. And I never take for granted the free ticket I have on Steemit, for a peak into other people's lifestyles, people in farawaaaaay places!

LOL ... I demand a recount:) That store is wonderful. You can tell whoever runs it loves his or here job:) Love arugula by far my favorite greeen:) If you are leaning towards a fish day ... dry clams on pizza ... it's amazing:)
It is interesting that my son tried clams for the first time that evening but seemed to not like them so much. I think I ended up eating most of them and finishing his sea food dish, it was really good and a very nice combination.
It worked out well:) I love clams:)

actually the warkop was once called meuligo wifi and since in our area there are some stemians who often hang out in the stall, then the warkop is named as steemit meuligo wifi.
.a very enjoyable trip I really like to see togetherness like this, which is very interesting in the way of my friend's friend #lightsplasher eating together with family, and a very good pizza with the addition of arugula and potatoes on top of it is very dancing, hopefully my best friend's holiday this time it was fun

Actually my family is not shown here, just in case you are confused. These are just people in the dinning area of the restaurant that I showed to give you a feel of what it looked like inside the restaurant.
We did have fun eating together here and the food was excellent.
