Follow me to the biggest and best succulent plants garden in the world 🌵💚

Dear Steemians, winter is still here in Switzerland and I'm more and more looking forward to the warmer months ahead of us.
Today I want to show you, how you can beam yourself into another world and all within one City.

I went to visit the largest succulent plant collection on earth. Succulent plants are plants, which are usually located in dry areas and which can store water. Cactaceaes are probably the most famous succulent plants.

So why is Zurich, the city which a lot of rain during the year, the place where the largest collection of succulent plants is?

Almost a hundred years ago, there was a cactus grower, his name was Jakob Gasser. He collectet plants for his lifetime and grew a huge collection succulent plants. In a high age, he tried to sell the collection but didn't find anyone buying it, so he gave it to the municipality of Zurich and since then, it belongs to the municipal gardens of Zurich.

The exhibition is located in the southern part of Zurich, near Strandbad Enge. Not many people where visiting the place, which gives a very authentic and quiet feeling and I think it is a very good place if you want some quiteness and dig into another world for a short time. And the best of it - it's absolutely free of charge!

瑞士的冬季漫长，最近又下了几场大雪，到处都是白茫茫一片，好久没见到绿色了，所以我今天来到了另一个温暖的世界，多肉植物园，来看看这些温室里生长的植物。
这是全世界最大种类最多的多肉植物园，正常来说这些植物都生长在荒漠地带，他们不需要太多的雨水就可以生长，其中最被大家熟知的大概就是仙人掌了。
为什么在苏黎世这样一个多雨的城市会建一个？大概是一百年前有一个多肉植物的种植者，他在他的一生中种植和收藏了大量的多肉植物。直到后来他决定全部卖出，但没有找到买家，最后就捐给了苏黎世植物园。
这个植物园坐落在苏黎世城外的湖边，是我在湖边散步的时候偶尔发现的，这一片区域叫wallenrauf。有一大片公园，还有苏黎世的Loft工厂艺术园，来苏黎世旅行的朋友也可以过来看看。
