Established in the 1980s, JA Hatta Fort Hotel Dubai is one of the oldest hotels in the UAE, and at just an hour’s drive from Dubai, the journey is well worth the trip. THE JOURNEY

From Dubai, the drive to JA Hatta Fort Hotel takes approximately 90 minutes. We took Amman road to Maliha road in Sharjah and followed the sign boards (use google map instead). Driving there was never boring when you have kids around as it brings our conversation lively and happy. Meanwhile, arriving in the hotel was stunning as their gate that looks like a castle welcomes you.

THE ARRIVAL

We went to the reception area to confirm our bookings. We took three (3) Deluxe Chalet-Style with connecting rooms to each other so it will be accessible to everyone. Each room cost AED 1,052 breakfast included and free use of all facilities. Costly? While they were busy on registering our names, me and my husband took our selfies around the souvenir shop just at the corner of reception area. 😀😀😀

Heading to our chalet this view welcomes you, the scenery is so perfect in each window, a good way to greet your morning to watch the sunrise.

BOUND TO EXPLORE

As much as we want to enjoy this two days and one night stay-cation, of course we are bound here to explore! What would be the first thing to visit when you go outdoor? P O O L!😂😂😂 We immediately went to the poolside to see it in actual, took photos around while my nephew enjoyed swimming with his father.

They have two types of pool from two different area as well. One is the kids pool located along the reception building while the second part is at the lower right corner of the restaurant.

Just at the top of kids pool they have a field where you can see the view of golf and biking area. Perfect for jump shot and prenup photos too! We truly enjoyed taking pictures as the sun gave accent to our photos, truly amazing!



After awhile we decided to go back to the room since we are starving. Tipid tips: Bringing food inside is not allowed actually but still prepare cooked foods and snack, hide as much as you can in your bags besides they won't check it anyway. 😂 (just don't make it too obvious). Since we came here as group we assigned each of us to bring something. Dinner and breakfast are saved!

AMENITIES

Ja Hatta Fort Hotel offers a lot of leisure activities from golfing, biking, archery, tennis, darts and billiards and most of all, hiking! They offer also a tour around Hatta Hill park where you can do kayaking and Hatta Heritage Village that shows traditional mountain village on an ancient site displaying crafts, weaponry, sculptures & customs. Aside from this they also have mini zoo to keep the kids busy by feeding some goats and deers. Several peacock were there as well and of course, camel.

They have also kid's play area, lucky us we are the only person to use it, my nephew was really happy and of course, me who is actually kids at heart! 😂😂😂

HIKING EXPERIENCE

Just inside the vicinity of Ja Hatta Fort Hotel there is an access going to Al Raha Fort Hill Park. With a height of 986 ft. from the ground, going there will only takes 20 minutes depending how fast you can go. But it won't rush you to reach the top anyway because there are two stops where you can take rest. Each stops have nice spots to have some selfies or just enjoy the view of the whole hotel.

We climbed the hill two times actually, during night and early morning to see two different side of the view. The street lights made the view more attracted as how the night sky do when the stars are out.

Early as 5 am we started to walk to catch the sunrise at the hill and the view was so brilliant..... It was so relaxing, the soft and cold breeze of the air, the calming mountains around us, the colors of the trees that mixed with the dessert land, it was such amazing creation.

SWIMMING EXPERIENCE

This is the favorite part, swimming! We really enjoyed the warm water while there's a cold breeze of air. The pool are clean and well maintained by the staff, very accommodating and refreshing. That's why night swimming and early morning dive is a must in every stay-cation 😉.

THE FOOD

Since the buffet is limited only, ladies we're given the privilege to have it . We went to the restaurant and grab some nutritious, delicious and heavy brunch! We didn't manage to took photos of the buffet since it's too crowded at that day. In fairness, the food are tasty!
