A Quick Review: Blue Coral Beach Resort, Laiya, Batangas
)
Hello travelers! Here's my quick review about this beach resort inside the popular city of Batangas- Blue Coral Beach Resort.
I had an opportunity to visit this place since my brother in-law and his family had their vacation after several years stay in UAE. Actually, the first plan was in Bataan but unfortunately, there are some unexpected circumstances happened in the resort which we cannot control so we decided to go nearby Metro Manila. The venue is just two and a half hours away from Manila and the way going there is so accessible. We did not take public transport since we have a family car but to give you a brief ideas how to get there, here are some options you may consider.
1. Manila via San Juan, Batangas
Take ALPS Bus from either EDSA Nepa Q-mart, Araneta Center Cubao or Alabang Grand Terminal to San Juan, Batangas. The earliest trip is at 3:00 am and the last trip departs at 5:00 pm, total fare is P190.00. In San Juan, right in front of the Municipal Hall, board a Laiya or Hugom bound jeepney. Take note that the last departing jeepney to Laiya leaves at 5:00 pm.
2. Manila via Lipa, Batangas
From Pasay Beundia, EDSA Kamuning or Araneta Center Cubao take Ceres Tours, DLTB, JAM, Batangas Star Express, RRCG, etc. to Lipa City, Batangas. Travel time is about two hours and the fare is P135.00 to P150.00. From Lipa bus terminal, ride a jeepney or van to San Juan Batangas. The van is faster but it will cost you more. And then from San Juan, take a jeepney or tricycle to Laiya.
This giant figure will greet you as you enter the lobby area. The native decorations suits the ambiance of the whole resort which gives a relaxing feeling to their guests. The lobby is an open area connected to the dinning facilities and pass through the pool areas. While at the sides are the rented villas you can choose from maximizing 8-10 pax capacity. We stayed in the poolside villa since we have two kids to play around so they can have an easy access between each pools. Our room cost P8,700. per night, fully-air conditioned room with toilet and bath plus basic resort amenities. Bed set-up are double-deck + 2 extra mattresses. Food is not included so you need to pay additional P1,400 as package per pax (inclusion of breakfast, lunch, dinner).
Outside food are not allowed to bring inside and the only option yu have is to avail their meal package. Since we are 8, it's too expensive to avail so we decided to go outside and travel 20 minutes going back to the town proper where we can eat and buy some foods for the next day.
Tips:
Bring a back pack so you can put the food inside. Since it is not allowed to bring food, you should find a way to hide all the items and make sure, it is not obvious.
The place is perfect for your instagram photos. there are also beach activities to choose from and these are the following:
Banana Boat - P1,500 for six pax (15 minutes)
P2,500 for ten pax (15 minutes)
Kayaking (price not mentioned)
Snorkeling - P2,000 for two hours
Speed boat - P1,500 for 30 minutes
During the night we walk around and take pictures in every corner of the resort.
The place is so beautiful at night as the lights gives extra bloom to the place. My favorite photo is below, it's very dramatic. I wished my husband were here..
On our second day, we woke up early to see the sun rise. Beach bumming isn't complete if you miss this so you bettre be waiting by the beach at 5:30 am, prepare your camera to take some fabulous photo of the sun.
There are lot of things you can do when you visit this place. A lot of things to explore too! All you have to do is to bring your friends or family, your back pack and camera then you're all set!
Never be afraid to try something new everyday. We live a foot prints and memories in this world so embrace the opportunity. Its now or never dear! for more details about the resort, just click the link below!

When we had trip at Laiya in 2011, Blue Coral BR were full - well, most of the beach resorts were full that time - so we ended at Pahiyas Beach Resort... That was cool too, we rented 2 villas with own pool. ^_^
very nice place to ease some tension... nice photos
