Painted doors of Madeira - Portugal

Hi guys.

I am currently living on the beautiful Island of Madeira. It is really a fantastic place. Today for example I went along the famous street called: Santa Maria. It is a long narrow street (roughly 1km long) and it is close to the city center of Funchal ( the capital City of Madeira)

It was an art project to stimulate the tourism in the city itself and it did really a great job. Artists were allowed to paint the doors however they wanted. Some are political, some are just plain fun and some are real pieces of art. There are really a lot of these doors. Therefor I will put lots of pictures in this post :-D

I was also lucky and saw one artist painting a new door.

These are just some doors and there are many more. So you should definitly come to Madeira and see them for yourself!
