Oman desert driving

So, I went off-road into the deserts of Oman in a 4x4 and it was out of this world.

We rented a vehicle and after a few lessons on a dune near Muscat we were ready the next day to take on the real desert.

We had to deflate the tires so there was more surface area for better traction but it made it easier to pop the tires off as you can see in the picture below.

We were not alone and help was always at hand from the other drivers as this was a group excursion with many other drivers.

I doubt we would have ventured out here without any aid as it is easy to get stuck or roll over.
