Trip to Sedona Arizona
Sedona is a natural beauty, and in August 2015, my boyfriend and I decided to take a trip to enjoy the natural landscapes of this magical location. We booked our cabin for the week through Airbnb.
Sedona has a rich spiritual heritage that goes back thousands of years. Many of the Native Americans that called these regions home and still do performed many of their sacred ceremonies near these rock formations. The Native Americans of these lands, even reported to have had ET encounters too. Now this intrigued me deeply because I have had several personal ET encounters back in 2012.
I feel that what made Sedona so unique was her power, to remove the distractions from city living. In this magical place I found myself able to completely unplug from the everyday world and reconnect with my body and my soul. In those quiet peaceful moments, I was able to hear my muses whispering. As a writer feeling inspired is the spice to my creative imagination.
We arrived at Sedona just in time to see a double rainbow on the horizon, and after a few miles we arrived at our beautiful cabin, right at the heart of Sedona, secluded enough to enjoy peace and quiet and close enough for a quick drive to restaurants, and nearby tourist and metaphysical shops.
All around was the red rock buttes and desert landscapes, and the nearby stream surrounding the cabin provided us with a calm and serene atmosphere. I never had so much fun watching the stars as I did that week by the cabin. Sedona was so dark, the stars seemed to leap out of the sky.
For our first dining experience, we visited the Creekside American Bistro. The atmosphere was laid back. The inside was warm and inviting. But then we decided why not enjoy our burgers by the balcony outside and take in the lovely view of the mountains. Our meals were delicious, and the service was splendid.
Doing all that hiking eventually made our muscles super achy, so we headed to the Peace Place Gifts and Reiki Center and booked a Reiki session and massage. Reiki is a Japanese technique that is administered by the laying of the hands, to get the flow of energy moving throughout the body, it is great for stress reduction, relaxation and promotes healing. Reiki combined with massage was a heavenly experience. While on the massage table, as I completely relaxed, I felt my whole body vibrating and twirling in waves. When the massage therapist was done I felt at peace and totally refreshed.
My favorite moments of being in Sedona was being able to hike, wander and explore all on my own. At some locations such as the Cathedral Rock and Airport Mesa Rock, we sat down to meditate, connect with our Spirit guides and even got glimpses of our past lives.
Observing the colors of the landscapes placed our mind in a meditative state, the red and burnt orange of the rock formations, combined with the green vegetation, served to inspire, delight and shift my entire view on life. It reminded me to slow down, breathe and savor the moments.
Sedona was indeed a powerful magical place to visit, it was a deeply personal journey for me. I had my drum that day and played songs for my ancestors and the elements on top of the Airport Mesa Rock. At the Cathedral Rock, we entered the beautiful church, inside was a statue of the Archangel Michael. We took a seat and enjoyed the ambience.
We visited the Bell Rock, Boynton Canyon and the Courthouse Butte. As a Reiki Master and psychic, I am trained to feel energies, and these places were off the scale. I was feeling my whole body whirling and twirling inside, without feeling dizzy. Lights zooming in and out were constant, more so than I experience back at home in Florida. It was a phenomenal experience!
Our next place to eat which we thought was fun was at the ET encounter restaurant. It was a fun spot to drop in on our last day in Sedona. When you walk in, it has a 50s diner feel but with an ET theme. The walls are painted in a fun galactic spacey way and all around are little grey men and space objects as decorations. The staff was great, and food was delicious!
