Why we ride?

It was long ago when I decided to buy my first "beast". It was back in 1986 when I was 15 years old. I knew my parents would not support my idea, so I went to work on summer school holidays instead of the sea. I worked for 2 months and collected just enough for an old Tomos of 50ccm. For the next couple of months my mother did not want to talk to me, but when she realized that I was coming home alive every day, that tenace had disapear over time. I collected my first driving experience courageously, but smart. Yet I did not want to spend the days in the plaster, but on the bike.

For the next few years we were driving everywhere, changing bikes, but then there was a time when I bought the first car. My first car was then the 1978 Ford Capri II. Somehow we all switched from two wheels to four wheels and life went on.

It's been almost 20 years since I had no motorcycle, but then one of my friends decided to buy a motorcycle. He then bought the new Kawasaki Z-750 in 2007, and that was the moment when I decided to get back to an iron beast.

I was lucky, so I did not have to buy a motorcycle, but a good friend gave me his old Honda CB750F from 1987. We did a little bit of repairs, some paint and she was ready for new adventures. I drove this bike for about a year, but then I ran into a favorable opportunity and bought a Kawasaki ER5. With him I took 2 seasons, during that time I collected some money and found my current bike, which I am now driving, the Kawasaki Z-750 from 2004.

Why do we ride? Because it's the only form of transport that you feel completely free. Because you know that if you are stuck somewhere, there are people who will help you right away. Because the motto rallys are one of the best events you can go to.

Because we're a big family.
