First of all, you might want to know whether there’s a direct flight to Jeju from overseas cities. Yes, there are a few: Tokyo, Hong Kong, Macao, Bangkok and some other cities.

Most of Jeju visitors come from Seoul , Gimpo International Airport, which was used to be a hub airport of Korea but now give a way to the Incheon International Airport. Although airport express trains and shuttle buses connect the two airports, it would not be easy to transfer planes in one day. So I reccomend you to stay in Seoul for a couple of days before visiting Jeju.

Which airlines you should be flying with? Korean Air and Asiana are the two most familiar ones, but you do not want to stick to them. Tens of low-cost carriers are actively in operation and all of them deserve a good reputation in terms of punctuality and safety issues.

Among the low-cost ones are Jeju Air, Air Busan, Eastar Jet, Jin Air, and T’way Air. These airlines offer a similar range of airfares and service. Therefore, do compare with one another before booking. Needless to say, a departure in a weekday will get a best price. Good luck.
