Unexpected Places: Budist Centre Karma Güen, Andalucía (Spain) / Rincones inesperados: Centro Budista Karma Güen, Andalucía

In the ancient region of La Axarquía, Málaga (Spain), we can find a path that bring us through mangos and avocados trees, going up in the mountain until get to the Kalachakra Stupa of Karma Güen. 

The Kalachakra ones are very rare, there are only a few of this type in the world. And this one, is the first built in the west. Was Lopom Tsechu Rinpoche who inaugurated it in 1994 after years of work. 

Benefits of visiting a Stupa

For Buddhism, Stupas contain precious Buddisht substances, in this case contains relics from Buddha Sakyamuni and former Buddahs, the complete Kanjur and Temjur, mantra rolls, healing substances and symbols for body, speech and mind of the Buddahs. 

Are also manifestations of countless wishes with the purpose of happiness and peace for the world.

En la ancestral comarca de La Axarquía, en la provincia de Málaga, encontramos unos de esos senderos que nos llevan a través de árboles de mangos y aguacates hasta lo alto de una montaña. Allí encontramos la Stupa Kalachakra de Karma Güen.

Este tipo de stupas Kalachakra son muy poco habituales, tan sólo hay unas pocas en el mundo, siendo esta la primera de su tipo construida en Occidente. La inauguró Lopom Tsechu Rinpoche en 1994, tras años de trabajo.

Beneficios de visitar una Stupa

Para el budismo, las stupas contienen objetos preciosos budistas, en este caso reliquias del Buda Sakyamuni y anteriores, el Kanjur y Tenjur completo, rollos de mantra, sustancias curativas así como elementos del cuerpo, el habla y la mente de distintos budas. 

También son la manifestación de incontables deseos con el propósito de dar felicidad y paz al mundo.
