The Vrachos/Loutsha beach - paradise in Greece - the story of one of the most beautiful beaches on the Ionian Sea.

Winter comes, at these latitudes, the days are shorter and colder. So, it's the best time to write about the summer and vacation on one of the most beautiful beaches I've been to - Vrachos - Loutca beach on the coast of the Ionian Sea.

Last year was very difficult for me. So I needed peace and a real vacation. That was the reason why we chose this beach with incredibly transparent sea to spent ten days there. That's not usual for me and my family. Actually, we're real adventurers and this is the first time we've been passive, but sometimes everything you need is beach, sea, sun and peace.

I have to mention - our decision was to enjoy this beach all ten days. This beach is great location if you like to explore and be active. Nearby are Parga and Preveza, fantastic tourist towns, the Sivota called the Greek Caribbean, the islands of Corfu, Lefkada, Paxos and Antipaxos, with beautiful beaches, mythical river Acheron...

This sandy beach, 3.5 km long, is located between two beautiful tourist spots - Parga and Preveza. Because this beach is one of the most beautiful in this part of Greece, the local authorities of the Parga and the Prevesa could not agree who it belongs to, so they split it in half :) The north part belonging to Parga is Loutsha, and the south part belonging to Preveza is Vrachos. You will not see a clear border, but you will notice that street lamps are different in these parts of the beach, or two trucks for collecting garbage. Each is in charge of its part of the beach.

The place itself is very small. Near the beach there is a long promenade and the row of villas, apartments, a couple of hotels, a couple of shops, a dozen restaurants and taverns, souvenir shops ... So you do not have to worry. You will surely hear the sound of the waves and have a view of the sea and a fantastic sunset.

Vrahos is really a quiet and family place. The crowd is only on weekends when the Greeks come from the surrounding towns. But the beach is really great that this amount of people does not notice.

I was very interested in the Ionian Sea. As you can see in the pictures, depending on the time of day, the color of the sea changes. In the morning there are greenish nuances and as the time passes through the day it becomes turquoise and dark blue. In the morning, the sea is mostly calm, like glass, and at the end of the day it becomes restless with a lot of waves.

The nights are especially romantic and charming. Since there is not much artificial light and the luminous sky is full of stars.

There are a lot of these little birds on the beach.

We made the decision to return to this beach and visit all that we did not. Since I will soon become mother for the second time, this type of rest will wait, and in the meantime, we will create other nice memories :)
