Santiago, Chile
A New City
Right after the Argentina trip (yesterdays post), I moved on to Santiago, Chile. I did not know what to expect as it was my first time there, but it was a total surprise.
The city is new, super clean and even though big and busy, it is people friendly... reminds me of what US cities used to be. The new and dramatic architecture lines the city that is surrounded by the Chilean Andes but is flat and easy to navigate.
The subways are modern and very clean, with easy navigation to the more distal parts.
But the best part was the wine and food, great restaurants and fare everywhere, with wine that although highly undersold in the US far superior to most.
Heading Back
Turns out Business was good, so I will be headed back again next year... a great new place to visit.
