Earlier this week, I took a cab from the Pearson airport, I was heading home. The taxi driver was an Indian from Haryana, and has been in Canada for five years.

He had his MBA in one university in Australia before migrating to Canada.

As with most other immigrants that are yet to achieve their dreams. He is having a tough time , finding a white collar job that pays huge wages is really a nightmare.

Although, he had been into insurance sales back home, but because he lacks the Canadian work experience, no one would hire him.

His wife passed her MBBS in India and was a practising doctor back home. After five years of idleness in Canada, fortunately for she finally got a job as a ‘research assistant’ in a Pharmaceutical company.

Ironically, this man was the third taxi driver I met who had successfully passed their MBAs from Australia.

Also, I’ve met taxi drivers who were doctors, accountants, dentists, and civil engineers, who all were suffering for white collar jobs. They were not aware of how tough it would be to find a professional work here, they all thought Canada is a paradise for works of different grades (suit jobs).

If you are right there thinking that Canada values your education or work experience. The truth is bitter, but I will say NO. Canadians too are looking for jobs, you could hear President Trump's first reason for contesting. # check online, there are a lot of news that explains his ambitions.

NOW THE TRUTH…

There are a lot of people like me who lack high qualifications, but bringing with us a niche(s) of skills has get us gainfully employed.

My perception: Canada is in need of butchers, plumbers, tailors, construction workers and other workers who have some experience in odd jobs like that.

If you are a graduate looking forward to come here, I would like you to heed to my advice; you must hard working, creative and dynamic before you register at the airport. Good luck in your quest to visiting this pleasing environment.
