Hope you are doing well today. As you may remember, we explored Mid-Autumun Lantern Carnival at Victoria Park in my last Explore Hong Kong with me series. I hope you like it! This weekend, to celebrate my friend birthday, we decided to dine in a Michelin recommended restaurant, Penthouse by Harlan Goldstein. If you are a foodie like me, you may be familiar with the name "Harlan Goldstein". He is a popular Chef who earned his first Michelin stars in Hong Kong with Gold in 2012. And today, I would like to explore one of his restaurants, Penthouse.
Steemit的朋友大家好,上次跟大家分享中秋維園的花燈展,希望大家喜歡。今天想跟大家分享一家位於銅鑼灣的米芝連餐廳,Penthouse by Harlan Goldstein。相信喜歡西式美食的朋友對城中名廚Harlan Goldstein的名字並不陌生,他在香港開了4間不同的餐廳,Penthouse是其中一間。到訪前我怎麼也想不到銅鑼灣有這麼高質量的餐廳,不但有優雅的裝飾佈置、精緻的擺盤、高質的食物、更有無敵夜景。

It takes 5 minutes walk from Causeway Bay Station Exit F2.
從銅鑼灣F2步行約5分鐘。
Situated on the top floor, Penthouse offers an impressive view of the harbour. My friend and I were delighted sitting right next to the windows and enjoying views of Victoria Harbor displayed through floor-to-ceiling windows. The decor of Penthouse is stylish yet comfortable and has an ersatz industrial feel. I especially love the lightening decor at the entrance in between the bar which add some character and uniqueness to the restaurant.
進店後首先經過兩旁的酒吧,餐廳內裝潢設計時尚摩登,大部分位置旁都有落地玻璃,可看到窗外景色,空間感十足,而餐廳二樓也有露天坐位,不過露天坐位應該比較適合跟朋友飲點小酒,聊聊天。

Most of the dishes were great for sharing and since we had 12 people, we just ordered different starters and mains to share. First up we were treated to a selection of appetizers.
因為每一種菜式都想試一點,我們決定每人點一些前菜,主菜和甜品,一齊分享。首先,先介紹一止前菜給大家。
Freshly baked bread with pesto sauce-The crust was crispy with a soft and open texture on the inside and the pesto sauce was so good and refreshing.
點餐後,首先送上的是麵包配香草醬,自家製的麵包外皮酥脆裏面鬆軟,配上美味的香草醬,很快被我們吃光

Fried Calamari with Tartar Sauce-golden-brown freshly fried calamari taste pretty good with the tartar sauce (3.5/5)
炸魷魚配他他醬,味道不差但沒有什麼特別(3.5/5)
Bluefin Tuna Tartare-topped with a slow-cooked egg and creamy sauce, the tuna tartare was delightfully flavorful especially after mixing in the yolk. Nom nom nom (4.5/5)
呑拿魚他他是必點的菜式,賣相很吸睛,吃的時把蛋黃切開,再混入呑拿魚中,是一道很好吃的前菜。 (4.5/5)
Hokkaido Scallop Carpaccio topped with chopped avocado, tomatoes, citrus and Granny Smith Dressing. The sweet and tangy citrus, against the freshness of the scallop, made it taste very refreshing. (4/5)
北海道帶子配切碎的牛油果,蕃茄和史密斯醬, 很清新(4/5)
24 months Aged Parma Ham-Everything tasted yummy as expected. (4/5)
肉質嫩滑,配上清甜的蜜瓜同吃,讓人很滿足,孤陋寡聞的我竟不知帕爾馬火腿跟蜜瓜竟是如此匹配。(4/5)
** Deviled Crab Cake** -a signature appetizer of this restaurant. I was surprised to see a big chunks of crab meat inside when cutting into the crab cake. The mango Salsa adding a pleasant sweetness to compliment it.(4.5/5)
蟹餅是 Harlan Goldstein的招牌菜,切開蟹餅可看到一塊塊的蟹肉,蟹肉鮮甜,配上旁邊的酸甜的芒果汁,很不错(4.5/5)
Mezze Rigatoni Pasta -This dish is made with fresh pork sausage, romanesco, broccoli puree and Pecorino cheese. (4/5)
這道意粉用了用新鮮的豬肉香腸,寶塔花菜,西蘭花醬和Pecorino奶酪 (4/5)
Lobster Risotto- I really love the texture of the Veneto Rice, and the richness and creamy lobster sauce.(4/5)
龍蝦繪飯,喜歡每一口飯都帶有濃郁的龍蝦鮮味(4/5)
Stone-Pot Black Ink Paella- Love the presentation of this dish , serve in a stone-pot instead of a plate, which keep the paella very hot. There were a lot of scallops and squid though which were both delicious to eat.(4/5)
石鍋墨魚汁繪飯,有別於龍蝦繪飯,這道墨魚汁繪以石鍋原鍋上桌,飯裡伴入帶子和魷魚等海鮮,吃起來很豐富(4/5)
Penthouse Mini Dessert Platter- every desserts are in bite size in this platter which is very thoughtful as we are quite full after having the starters and main :P We are all satisfying to have this dessert platters to end our dinner. (3.5/5)
甜品拼盤,有四款不同的甜品組成,每一款都分量比較小,適合想淺嚐多種甜品的朋友,四款當中個人最喜歡綠茶慕絲杯(3.5/5)

Overall, I enjoy my dinner at Penthouse. I won't forget the Coal Grilled Aged U.S. Prime Rib-Eye Steak for a long time and I would definitely recommend the Bluefin Tuna Tartar. That being said, having a glorious meal here will definitely come at a cost, we spent HKD$600 (~77USD) per person. I would say it is definitely a place for special occasions or just somewhere to treat yourself. And I would strongly recommend to do lunch instead of dinner as their lunch menu is much cheaper (~USD35 /person ) and the plates are quite similar.
總括而言,Penthouse的環境跟食物水準很高,特別是牛扒和呑拿魚他他,不過Penthouse的價錢也不平宜,這次晚餐我們每人花了$600,所以比較推薦給想找一家高大上餐廳的慶祝節日的朋友。不過想平宜一點,大家也可以考慮下午來吃午餐,它們的午餐是半自助形式而且是晚餐價錢一半左右,重點是餐牌也跟晚餐沒差多少喔。

@krischy i have upvoted your post and i always say that travelling is part of education and thanks for bringing Tokyo to me. I planned to be there and see this beautiful city even though, i am not here physically i have seen attractive places to visit when i get there. Good job

秋天的晚上有點涼風吹來,坐在露天也很不錯,不過露天座位的桌子比較矮,所以比較適合吃點小食:P
