'Great' Experiences While Camping, and Enjoying 'Bodensee Project Week'

Last week was very special in a way. Each term, our school sends the students out of the lessons to organize a 'Project Week' with the purpose of doing a Service, Creativity, or Activity in communities all over the Europe. Simply, being useful, gaining knowledge, and breaking barriers by experiencing different challenges.

One of the groups was located in Prague where a group of students was helping in a 'Thrift Shop', another group was learning about the history and culture in Paris, many of them stayed at different locations in Germany doing various activities such as apple picking in the North, or climbing the tallest mountains in the region, etc.

Recently, I was writing about my first one in Berlin and the second one in Paris. The third one happened in the area of Bodensee where we covered four cities: Konstanz, Meersburg, Friedrichshafen, and Überlingen. The main focus was on Photography and Video Making which is something that I find very inspiring to learn and teach about. Ths small piece of the beauty is shown in the photo below:

Six young boys, seven full days and nights, and thousand euros to organize and cover every cost with. As we wanted to save as much money as we could, we decided to book a cheap campsite and sleep in our tents. Food was brought in two 'stolen' trolleys from the market two kilometers away. We cooked on the stoves; with pasta as the main dish. Cuttlery and plates would have been later washed in a lake. Trolleys were taken back.

I really like camping and I have no problems with sleeping outside. But even though it was not supposed to be unpredictable, a small mistake happened. Our campsite was located right next to the lake. Days are warm and nice, but nights are very cold and wet.

This couldn't stop us from being even more extreme. We moved to another city by ferry and booked a hotel in the main center. The good benefit as a student is that you can always get a discount for what every you need; accommodation, travel expenses, except one; restaurants.

Luxurious hotel, great food, and lots of great picturesque places for taking great captures. As it was supposed to be a great and productive week, it ended just as great. We did actually make a great movie, but if you do something that you like, you can't get tired of it. You just improve.

Now, it is time to take some rest of resting and get back to school work and university applications.
