Nha Nam – Boc Bo

..oh, did we get off-road today, deliberately choosing the small roads through the hills of northern Vietnam, we managed to experience so much today, the worst kind of road that reminded more a dried out stony river than a road, Ba Be lake, buffalos bathing, the most mesmerizing view from the hilltops with a blazing red sun setting right behind and local ladies who invited us to join them for some green tea and happy water saying that two shots are ok to ride, and then making us to take the third as well.. and after each shot, we had to shake hands.. most amazing experience.. and then in the very evening, we ended up in this tiny village in the middle of nowhere and the lady who made the most delicious Bahn Cuoc (kinda pancakes with minced meat) refused to take money.. obviously, we paid anyway.. but the hospitality up here is unbelievable..

I went on one of those gravel roads. I think my bike stayed in first gear for more than an hour. I had to go so slow on that path. My mistake was trusting google with my directions.
It was beautiful, but it was some of my hardest and tiring riding.

totally.. it was 8 hours of bad road, but the reward at the end was worth every metre.. :D
