Nĭ hăo Steemit!

There are some incredible things in China. Ancient, mystical, beautiful things are hidden deep within the massive landscape of this country. One of these many such things is the Golden Summit.

Located at the top of Mount Emei, at around 10,000 feet elevation, there are multiple Buddhist temples and also a 157 foot tall stupa with immensely detailed carvings. Each temple is surrounded by the ashes of Buddhists, and burning incense. The vibes are intense up here.

This first building was actually more of a museum and gift shop than temple. It held many old Buddhist artifacts and creations. I bought what I thought was a CD there, and it turned out to be a DVD documentary about monks. No subtitles though so it was mostly just a visual of bald dudes sitting around and breathing! Haha :D

This was what I came here for. Over 2 hours of hiking, a cable car ride, more hiking, and it was all made worth it. This massive golden stupa of the Ten-Faced Puxian standing atop the summit. This is legitimately the most epic thing I have ever seen in my life. Being above the clouds, it was insanely bright. The reflection of the sunlight off this statue was almost too much. Until more fog rolled in, it was hard to look at anything up there! Thankfully I got a picture once some clouds were around us!

This final shot is of the Grand Hall of the Great Sage. There were multiple Buddha and buddhist disciple statues in here. The level of detail that all of the stuff up here had was mind-blowing. Climbing so high up to build a beautiful place of worship.

Every single part of this place blew my mind. Have you ever been to a temple in the clouds before? I don't know of many other places like this on Earth!
