1. Waiheke Island
Waiheke Island (located in the Hauraki Gulf, New Zealand) is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. It looks like heaven on earth with a lots of beautiful beaches and vineyards that will take your breath away (also known as New Zealand's "island of wine"). 
The Island is a famous tourist destination with a lots of interesting things to do. If you are water sport enthusiast you will enjoy in the swimming and sea kayaking. If you are a walker, explore island's trails. It is full of hiking trails leading to the beautiful beaches and native forests. You can also rent a beach house and wake up with the sounds of the waves. It is only 35-minutes by the ferry from downtown Auckland and have public busses and taxis. You can also hire mountain bike, scooter or car.
