CNN has just published a list of 8 destinations that tourists should avoid in 2018. Croatian city Dubrovnik is also featured there.

The list is based on the fact that over the past 12 months, individual popular tourist destinations have insisted on reducing the number of tourists flooding their streets, breaking their fragile ecosystems, ruining their infrastructure and increasingly interfering with the normal life of local residents.

UNESCO has threatened to take Dubrovnik's status as a world cultural heritage due to a large number of tourists.

Dubrovnik has already announced that it will limit the number of tourists to 4,000 per day. In August 2016, a total of 10,388 tourists passed through the walls of the old town for a day.
