Part of the Via Feratta between Mürren and Grindelwald, Switzerland.
You should be wearing a harness with two contacts to the support cable to avoid inconvenient things like falling to your death.
The middle cable on the right side of the bridge is where you attached your clips. Still could definitely fall but the harness would only let you dangle about 15 feet.
Is that along with a major hiking root? I might go there for a weekend sometime in the next few months.
It’s not a major hiking route. The path took us from Mürren to Grindelwald which is about a 30-minute walk if that. The via ferrata took us about 3 hours to complete with stops for pictures. Definitely worth it if you’re coming to the area. This picture isn’t even the best part honestly.
EDIT: Gimmelwald not Grindelwald. Getting my Swiss towns confused.
I think you mean Gimmelwald. Grindelwald is in another valley.
You would be correct. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been there. Thanks!
