Hidden beach in Aceh Besar - Keutapang Lhok Beach.

in #travel8 years ago

After a long wait during overseas, eventually the opportunity to visit Lhok Keutapang come. Lhok Keutapang is one of the hidden beaches in Aceh Besar. I visited this beach while going home to Aceh during the summer holidays. I went with a collection of random comrades. They consisted of my high school friends, college friends, and some friends of the Facebook group Aceh Backpacker. We are all numbered 9 people.

Before the hike, in Ujung Pancu.

The trip to Lhok Keutapang started in Ujung Pancu, Aceh Besar on Saturday (16/08) ago. From here we have to climb the hill, through the woods. Travel time is approximately 3 hours. Terrain that must be passed quite heavy with the slope in some places reached 45 degrees. When downhill ever we have to be careful because of this. During our trip had several times stopped to rest.

After the downhill, before reaching the coast we will be greeted by a waist-high grassland. We can choose a few spots to set up a tent along the beach. Starting from the trees up near the cliff and a small cave at the left end of the beach.

Supplies for to Lhok Keutapang must be prepared carefully, especially clean water. This is due to the lack of clean water resources around the coast. Clean water sources are closest beach is located about a half hour drive into the jungle.

We camped at one place on the sidelines of the trees. A tarp tent and we got up to take shelter. Unfortunately, that night the heavy rain had fallen about 1 hour and rainwater seeping through the tent. Finally we take shelter abuzz under the tarpaulin roof while enjoying a dinner of boiled noodles. Umang conch seen dozens of roaming around the place we camped that night.

The next morning, Sunday (17/08) after green bean porridge breakfast we start walking around and enjoying the view of the beach. That day coincides with Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia is the 69th. We bring the red and white flag and take some photos to celebrate. Lhok Keutapang a hidden and quite difficult to reach. It makes this beach is fairly clean. Hopefully this beach visitors can still maintain the cleanliness and beauty.
