INDONESIA TOURIST ATTRACTIONS (#20 THE RAIN ISLANDS AND THE KINA-KURA TILES)
Pulau Tikus is one of the mainstay tourist attractions of Bengkulu since the first. You can find it in the west of the capital city of Bengkulu, about 10 km from the city center. The area of the island is only 2 hectares, but the scenery is very mesmerizing. The waters are clean and various forms of coral reefs present decorate this island.
Types of birds regard the Rat Island as a place to go home. So, do not be surprised if you find a pigeon, black crane, turtles, and others there. The marine biota is also amazing! Karen, the Rat Island is a tourist location that you can make a fishing and snorkeling.
While the Castle Turtle was built in the leadership of Governor Joseph Callet or also called the Fort Marlborough. The building is strictly facing south, extending over 44 thousand square meters. Unique because this castle looks like a turtle with a main door surrounded by a moat, but can be traversed by a bridge. There is also an underground exit which, according to surrounding communities, was used during the war.
