It had been a couple of years since we last went to Genting Highlands in Malaysia and so last week, after meeting some friends in KL, we drove up to Genting Premium Outlet before taking the Awana Skyway cable car up to Genting Highlands.

This time, we travelled with parents and our cute little niece who totally enjoyed herself especially when the cable car rode up into the clouds! Check out the video below.

Genting Premium Outlet

This is the latest attraction at the Awana area of Genting Highlands. We parked our car at the massive carpark for 2 days and used the cable car that was located directly inside the shopping area.

The Premium Outlet was relatively big with some common brands like Coach, Hugo Boss, and sports outlets adidas and Nike. Surprised to find our favourite Konbini Family Mart here too! And we saw an outlet at KL too. But the stuffs they sell inside were disappointing, not what we expected from Family Mart. LOL. There were a good selection of restaurants too and we ate lunch at a Hong Kong style restaurant.

We'd been to the Johor Premium Outlet and we found this Outlet was much pleasant to walk around and shop due to the high altitude and much cooler weather.

Awana Skyway Cable car

We chose the cable car method to get up to Genting Highlands instead of driving up in our old car. The station is located directly in Genting Premium Outlet with the end station at the new Genting Sky Avenue, so it was really convenient compared to the old cable car.

The ride took only about 10 minutes and it was really pleasant in the cooling weather. The scenario around the highlands was really nice and as the car rode into the clouds in the cool weather, the kid was overwhelmed with joy.
