There are scammers everywhere, so sad.. Can't let them ruin your travels though!
I heard about Mr. Bromo before and thought about travelling to Indonesia, but I would have been there during the monsoon season so I went to Southeast Asia instead. But it looks really beautiful!
I'm still lucky the scam wasn't so bad and I'm okay.
I think you would have time to visit Indonesia since you'll be in Asia. If you'll go to Mt. Bromo, check out Mt. Ijen as well. I went there October and the weather was perfect :)
