Kawasan Falls Black Saturday Getaway

in #travel6 years ago (edited)

Last March, my friends and I (we call our group as soG - sons of God ), were planning to have a summer outing and so the plan was to have a roadtrip to the south of Cebu province since in the previous outings that we had we only spend it in the vicinity of the Mactan Island to be specific it’s beaches and the well-known island of Olanggo, which is also a bird sanctuary.

For this year, a few days before Saturday, we decided to explore the iconic waterfalls found in Badian which is the Kawasan Falls. One of my friend suggested that tourist spot since we hadn’t been there yet (of course!) and close to the house of his workmate which is about to celebrate the christening of his workmate’s baby which is a day after. To be honest, I was on the verge of withdrawing on going with them on our Cebu South Roadtrip since during that week I am sleeping with less hours due to the fact that I have a very urgent request for quotation (RFQ) or request for information (RFI) from one of our customers, which resulted me and my fellow workmates to render overtime and actually last Wednesday supposedly I was to go home at around 10 o’clock in the evening but it didn’t happen I went home around 5:45 in the morning of Thursday. A very unforgettable and exhausting baptism of fire! Thankfully I was able to have a bit of rest since I slept during the day and night of both Thursday and Friday.

Early morning (around 8 o’clock) of Saturday we started our travel to Cebu South. Thankfully the travel was smooth and sound, we arrived at the Kawasan Falls around 1 o’clock in the afternoon. Also during our travel I was able to discuss and share them stuffs about steem and the cryptocurrency as whole too. I'm glad also that they are interested also in creating steemit accounts and was happy to found out that my friend @exillediogolvin had registered an account months ago (too bad I wasn't able to find out that he has steemit account he might have joined me contributing to @utopian-io, well he doesn't have enough time since he transferred to another school and focused in building his reputation as a high caliber quiz bowler (just like me HAHA) and prepare for the board examination). It is indeed relaxing to come closer to nature, since it provides as lots of fresh air and very wonderful scenery which make you think how great our Creator is, for all his unfathomable and marvelous creations. Before we started our hike to find the nearest carenderia wherein we could took our lunch, we took a photo with the sea in the background. And also I have uploaded a video in Dtube, a short clip of Kawasan Falls.

After we are done taking our lunch, we continued our hike into the site of the falls. While we are hiking the tourist spots has lots of views which are so wonderful and are full of people with different nationalities. The water is so clear and I told my friends this is the best example of mineral water and of course the realest one. Unfortunately we were able to took a little photos on our journey to the whole site of the waterfalls because we were afraid that our gadgets might fall in accident to the flowing water. We were able to take photos and focus mainly on the main falls wherein lots of cottages and flocks of people are there.

Well here are some of our photos we’ve taken with the main waterfalls the background.

Around 5 o’clock in the afternoon we started walking back to the road so that we can arrive earlier in Argao (our friend’s workmate hometown). While we were walking we took some groufies too.

Unfortunately, we arrived at 9 o’clock in the evening in Argao since we took a very long trip, instead of going back and use the road in Carcar to reach Argao, we took another route. We had circled the Southern portion of Cebu (Habagatang Bahin sa Sugbo) and was so glad to finally reached the southernmost town of Cebu which is Santander wherein the island of Negros is visible for it is only few kilometers away. After that we took our dinner and unfortunately, we couldn't reject the countless convincing done by the native Argaoanons to drink their pure coconut sap wine (tuba) for which I was able to drink 3 glasses. After that my friends and I join the neighbors of my friend's workmate in singing videoke. As for me I sang, Amazed by Lonestar. HAHA

I guess that would be all for my Cebu South Roadtrip last Saturday.

Thank you.

Much love and respect.
