in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Yesterday i finished my week by writing a small post about my first week on Steemit. In that post I told Im going to write more about my country Norway, our culture, and how its like to live her, so thats what Im going to do. Starting with a little bit about me

The flag
The cross symbolises that we are a christian nation. The colours symbolises freedom. The colour blue is the sky. the white is the snow, and the red is the blod of Saint Olav. He was the king who gathered Norway as a nation. He died in a battle in the year 1030.

A small history about me
This is me, a picture from a couple of months back. I Mett my father for a talk, and we order som pizza. This is his photo

Bærum
I was born outside Oslo, in a place called Bærum 26 years ago. Its next to the Oslofjord. On the top we have the forrest where me and some friends sometimes go camping. It has population of about 125 000, so kind of big to be Norway

Introduction
As a small country with just about 5 million inhabitants we have a lot of space, and a lot of nature. We have a lot of weather too. Cold winters and warm summers consider how long north it is. This is because of the Golf stream, that transfer warm water from the Golf of Mexico.

Trømsø
its called the Paris of the north. Its Surrounded by mountains, with snow all year around, and a mighty landscape its a spectacular site. The city is know for the arts, a thumping Nightlife and the Northern lights. In the winter times its all dark, but in the summertimes the sun never settles, because of the midnight sun.

Lofoten
A small trip down on the cost lays Lofoten, a group of islands. Lofoten is the fishing capital of the north, and has exported clipfish to countries like Spain and Portugal for more than a 1000 years. Its being used in the popular dish Bacalao. Its know for its breathtaking landscape. Mountains and pinnacles surrounded with big open waters. The weather can be extreme, especially in the winter times.

Bergen
On the westcoast south in Norway is the city of Bergen, with about 280.000 inhabitants. Like many other cities, its surrounded by mountains and ocean. Its the Street art capital of Norway, and visited by Banksy in the year 2000. The docks of Bergen is world famous, and is on the UNESCO list of world heritage.
