RE: An Unexpected Air-raid Shelter in the Rock of Ahn Yang Am of Changsindong.

An intriguing post, @slowwalker - the importance of work.

You may be surprised to learn that the Buddhist saying is an almost verbatim restatement of a passage in the New Testament - 2 Thessalonians 3:10 : if any would not work, neither should he eat.

Saint Paul goes on to remind believers not to be idle and wait for the Return of the Lord but to busy themselves with their hands ( He himself was a tent maker)

The air raid shelter was poignant especially the Buddha statue outside the entrance - it's sad when we have to take shelter from the inhumanity of man.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel though and until we achieve that we should occupy and stand our ground busying ourselves with whatever comes to hand. Man is by nature meant to work and create and this in itself is a redeeming task.

Have a good day, my friend
