Stars over Chile with the town of Vicuña causing nice light pollution in the valley below. Vicuña, in the Elqui Valley is a great place for stargazing because it has over 300 clear nights a year. Not only is Vicuña a great place to visit in Chile but it also happens to be the name of one my four favorite South American Camelid species.

This is a cool capture! "Nice light pollution", haha... Vicuña is indeed the most elegant camelid there. I was in Elqui Valley too and had a similar star picture as yours. :) Did you also try horse riding and visiting the pisco distillery?

Thanks! I didn't go horseback riding but I rented a mountain bike and visited some of the distilleries. Although in retrospect biking and pisco probably aren't the best two activities to combine.
