Canlaon City is located at the Eastern side of Mount Canlaon, in the Province of
Negros Oriental. Its 9.5 kilometers from the foot of Mount Canlaon . The city center is 38 kilometers away from San Carlos City, 50 kilometers from Guihulngan, 13 kilometers from Vallehermoso, 102 kilometers from Bacolod City.
It's politically bounded on the North by San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, on the East by Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental, on the West by the Municipality of La Castellana and Pontevedra, Negros Occidental, and on the South by the Municipality of Guihulngan, Negros Oriental.

This year we visited the known oldest tree of Canlaon "The Century Tree" Its is located in remote barrio away from the main city. At first sight you will be amazed because of its huge size and it will take multiple people to surround the said tree. Many people visited that place on that day and rain is about to drop. Yet the experience of seeing the Century Tree is one of the best thing happen for me this year.
