Gardens by the Bay Spring Festival | 滨海湾花园日本樱花展🌸

Gardens by the Bay is a national garden and horticultural attraction for local and international visitors in Singapore. Meanwhile, it is an independent organisation responsible for developing and managing one of Asia's most important gardens.


Recently, the happening there is Japan Spring Cherry Blossom Festival, also called Sakura Matsuri, from 16th March to 8th April . As a tropical country, what a luxury to pretend having a Spring here! So I booked the tickets online one week in advance and last Saturday I went there. The annual cherry blossom floral display is in Flower Dome. Flower Dome is the largest glass greenhouse in the world as listed in the 2015 Guinness World Records. It replicates the dry and cool climate to have exotic plants from five continents.

However, I would like to focus on Sakura Matsuri in this post. There are various kinds of cherry blossoms, including Prunus Fujishidare, Prunus Yedoenis Yoshino and Prunus Accolade and etc.

Of course, other flowers are charming as well.

滨海湾花园作为一个国家级的优美的园林杰作，是新加坡的一个热门景点，无论是对当地居民还是游客来讲，而且建筑设计也是可持续性的。

今年这里首次举办樱花展，从3月16号到4月8号，让处于热带的我们也有赏樱的机会。

滨海湾花园的玻璃温室花穹是世界最大的玻璃温室，于2015年载入世界吉尼斯纪录。花穹里营造了地中海的干冷气候，拥有九个主题花园，培植了来自处南极洲之外的其他各大洲的奇花异草。

花穹里已经有一部分樱花开了，有很多不同的品种，包括富士枝垂樱、染井吉野樱、奖章樱等。樱花展是以传统的日式花园为主题，让赏樱者有身临其境置身于日本的感觉。
