What to do in Ilocos, Philippines?
Are you planning to visit Philippines? Is the country included in your travel bucket list? If yes, then do you already have on mind what place to go first, or do you still wonder?
Well, I have here some shots of one of the most visited places in the Philippines. I'm hoping this would help you when you get your chance to visit it.
Yes! Ilocos it is. ILOCOS is an administrative region of the Philippines, designated as Region I, occupying the northwestern section of Luzon. It is bordered by the Cordillera Administrative Region to the east, the Cagayan Valley to the northeast and southeast, and the Central Luzon to the south. To the west lies the South China Sea.
Here are some of the activities to do in the place that would surely give a kick to your travel and turn you into a great storyteller.
#1 Trying the Ilocanos' specialty "LONGGANISA"
That brownish oval-shaped item is the one. Pork is its main ingredient. Plain rice is its perfect match. I just added egg and "bihon" there for variety. Yes! It's really best for breakfast.
#2 Sand dunes Rides "4x4"
Yes! This is it. This is the most terrifying ride I'd ever taken. The place looks like a desert. There are steep parts that you have to deal with. It runs fast that all you got to do is to scream your heart out. It is somehow very worth the try.
It is best to be taken in group. The more the merrier.
Hooray! We made it to the finish line. We survived! This could also be your response after taking the ride. Try it!
#3 Sandboarding
You can drop by here before reaching the finish line by "4x4" ride. Try this and it surely would make you feel like a kid again.
#4 Horseback Riding way to the place's Rock Formation
You got two options to get to the rock formation in the place. It's by horseback riding or by walking. But it's best to get there by the former. Surely, you'd love it.
#5 Walking through "The Most Romantic Street" in Vigan, Ilocos : CALLE CRISOLOGO
The street most taken by the travelers. Do not ever miss to drop by here. It is way more romantic to be taken at night with the stars and the moon shining upon the road.
It's calesa. You can take it to get around the city of Vigan.
#6 Meeting Preserved Animal Species in BALUARTE
Come and meet the species which you didn't expect they existed anymore. Witness how they were taken cared here.
There are still more beautiful spots to visit here in Ilocos. These are just some. Wanna travel now? Come and experience it yourself.
See you in my next travel. More travel blogs to come. I hope you enjoy!
