Visiting Chania:
Although the main reason for many travelers to visit Chania is because is the major transit point for Samaria Gorge, the fact is that Chania is possibly the most suggestive city of Crete.

The remains of Venetian and Turkish architecture abound in the Old Town of Chania. Some buildings have been tastefully restored and are now restaurants, hotels or shops.

Agios Nikolaos Church:
The Church of Agios Nikolaos in Chania has the peculiarity of being attached to one of Hania’s two remaining minarets, which contrast with its bell tower in the opposite end of the church. The church dates from the 12th century and was restored in 1918, after the Ottomans converted it into mosque in the 17th century.

Sintrivani Square:
In Sintrivani Square there is a beautiful fountain, a perfecte place where you can cool down. In fact, the official name of the square is, "Eleftherios Venizelos Square". If you read my previous post the name might seem familiar. In fact, many streets and squares bear the name of this Greek politician, which is a perfect excuse to take a look at his wikipedia entry.
