Well, you know what they say... better late than never haha!
I had planned to share this with all of you on Monday,
but I just never got around to it...
and yesterday, well - yesterday... ;)

Nonetheless, here I am!
And I wanted to share my
FANTASTICAL MOTHER'S DAY ADVENTURES
with you peeps :)

As usual (every year)... I was asked what I wanted to do,
and I said "nothing"...
So no arrangements were made, and at the last minute
we decided to go out and do something anyway haha!

At this point, most restaurants are fully booked
and there are not many options,
so heading to the V&A Waterfront,
was probably about our only hopeful option -
as there are an endless amount of restaurants in one place
and we were bound to find a table somewhere...

So, off to the waterfront we headed.
Thankfully, the Mother City was cooperating
and the weather was simply FAB!

Once we had arrived, I actually let Jude decide
which restaurant we should go to.
I showed him three that I thought looked nice,
and he made the final decision....

So Mondiall it was :)

Such an awesome and rustic styled venue!
It was RIGHT up my alley!

The ladies was upstairs so I took the opportunity
to kill two birds with one stone lol ;)

They are obviously still busy with the setup and planning
of the upstairs as nobody was up there,
and everything was still very clearly under construction.

Whilst up there, I did spot this work in progress,
which caught my attention immediately,
and I thought may interest you too @traciyork ;)

I would love to see how that intend to finish that :)

Definitely not something you see in a restaurant everyday!

The view downward into the "active" restaurant,
was so cool!!!

and let me NOT forget to mention that just prior to this,
we had stopped at the Aquarium
to buy Jude a fossil shark tooth necklace which he has been nagging for,
because they have been studynig shark and fish teeth
in Science club at school. lol

So he was stoked needless to say!

He was also dying of starvation,
promptly on arrival to the restaurant,
so we ordered his food immediately...

Whiiiiich he had about 30% of and was STUFFED! haha
(parent problems lol)
So.... I finished the rest...
(There goes moms appetite! lol)

But mom didn't mind,
because mom had complimentary wine :)

SO CHEERS & CHEESE TO THAT!

ok, enough with the happy snappy vibes,
I spotted something on the menu
which I KNEW I wanted...
And it was intended to be my starter,
but actually ended up being all I ate! haha

Dave on the other hand....
had an open steak sandwich
How selfish!

haha!!!

And whilst we sat and "dined"
(I mostly drank wine, but ok)
THIS is the torture which we were subjected to!

I mean....

THE HORROR!!!

Is it any wonder that we ended up on a catamaran? lol

But before we left,
I simply insisted that we sit and listen
to the amazing one man band!

He even played Jude's favourite,
which is the NON BIEBER version of Despacito ;)

With brunch / lunch done and dusted,
it had been decided that a catamaran trip
was in order!

So off we went!
(After swallowing some nausea tabs of course haha)

The last time we went on a catamaran cruise,
it was SO full and to be honest,
not really my cup of tea! haha!

Everyone was fighting for a space to take a photo,
and it was just chaos everywhere!

Yeah, yeah.... I am antisocial lol ;)

This time was AWESOME!!

There was literally us,
one other family of 4 and another German couple.

So there was SO much room for "chilling"!

As Jayne does, I invited ourselves to join
the other half of the table that had been partially ocuppied
by the other family and I am ever grateful I did!

What a FAB bunch of people!!!

All the kids had "instant friends" lol
which worked well for moms and dads
on both fronts ! hehe :)

And Jude even got a chance to steer us ;)

We had such a good time on the boat trip,
that we decided to have dinner together :)
(which is code: for Jude insisting that we gatecrash their dinner!)
hahaha!!!

But it was an awesome gatecrash indeed!!! hehe
I mean, there was Pinot Noir on the table!!!
So what complaints could their possibly be ;)

Even the thievacious birds had a good time lol!!!

After dinner, the kids had a little DAB
photo shoot hahaha!!!

Sadly though, all good things must come to an end...
but not before we took a drive to capture a view
of our amazing Mother City,
whilst the little man caught some zzzzz's

ok ok.... enough shenanigans!
The sheer length of this post
makes me feel like @sweetsssj hahahaha!!!

But, it was a SUPERB day out,
and I really wanted to share it with all of you!
