Bone Church of KUTNA HORA - Prague
While traveling Europe, I visited a small medieval town outside of Prague called KUTNA HORA. The "Bone Church," which is essentially a medieval church decorated with human remains is an absolutely stunning sight.
Due to an overwhelming build up of human remains instigated by the high demand to be buried in this particular cemetery, a creative solution was implemented when a half blind monk began constructing art out of the bones.

That's insane lol. Can't believe I've never heard of this place. Nice shots!
Ya Mon! Totally odd place to visit. There are another 14 churches u can visit int he town, some cool some meh. This other one is built in the shape of a Cross if u see it from above, which is insane given that they did it in like the 11th century or something.
I snuck up this really small spiral staircase to the attic and thought i found a dead body. It was just a hole int he wall hahaha, that was also very memorable lol. I got some very sour faces from security on the way out tho
very nice
Thanks yo ~
I think he may have gone a little overboard with the interior design!
lol, whatchu talking bout ;) i guess being a monk, in solitude in the 15th century does things to a person ~
Definitely did something.
He was probably already a bit off.
Hard to imagine what it would have been like to be a 15th Century, half blind monk, working the graveyard and having the to deal with an overpopulation crises of corpses...can either of us really say that we wouldn't have come up with the same creative solution...? haha
What a crazy/beautiful monstrosity. Great capturing of human oddity.
indeed. Something very ominous yet super creative happened there.
