Guessing most of you don't know it yet, I've left Thailand couple of days ago and am currently in Siem Reap Cambodia.

So I've been wondering through the streets today, exploring the alleys, life of the locals and also being a kind of a buff for history, architecture, cultural and philosophy, I wandered into a temple and saw this:

Won't say that this blew my mind, however, it did bring up a question seeing this. If this little fella can be so at peace with itself, why can't we as humans do the same? Definitely welcome everyone to comment as to what they feel about this!

which I would like to bring your attention to, a quote I made up, which i've been trying to live by the past few years. "Be at peace with ourselves, that even the wheels of life around us turns, our inner peace remains undisturbed."

You see, I've never looked at Buddha and his teachings as a religion which many people does, instead I look at it as teachings for us to be better and happier humans, to be at peace with, and to better the lives of ourselves and others.

This was the highlight of the day. This carving of Buddha in the reclining position is said to be about 500 years old, in the same exact location all these years. There is a legend behind it but i'll leave it to you guys to do your own research on where this temple is located exactly.

Hint: it's in Siem Reap! Hahahah! Doesn't seem much but its a big hint already!

Well, the story goes that this statue is carved out of the bow of a boat carrying a monk when it broke into 2 pieces in the river 500 years ago. The stern in fact is carved into a standing Buddha statue and is currently STILL in another province.

(OK, this is a HUGE hint already!)
