Nice catch! Are you from the North? It is a superstition that mackerel eat dead people: Idiotic! But mackerel in the North tend to be much bigger:)

Supposedly they where eating the germans. Don't think about going there to catch the big ones. I caught one from the Oscarsborg ferry "brygge" early in the season. Like at the beginning of june, early in the morning, at 1,8 kg. It was like a human arm.
Daym, that's pretty big! The one we caught was about 500g
Just to be clear, I obviously don't believe that they ate germans. Language barriers can be tricky sometimes. Ironically, mackerel might be the least likely of any sea creature to have a human snack.
