A Hiking We Will Go!
The day after I arrived in Taiwan I was invited to go hiking to Songluo Lake.
4 hours hiking one way.
The beginning of the walk was easy.
I thought it would be a light stroll.
However, it became more difficult and muddy.
Thanks to my friend suggesting me to get hiking shoes and water proof pants.
It saved the day.
The path was challenging enough.
A couple of snack breaks and drinks of water.
I was pretty tired when we got to the lake.
I assume there was a lake...
....it was out there... somewhere... lurking...
The walk back was where my body was telling me it had had enough of the walking.
My hiking boots were new and starting to rub me the wrong way.
The good thing about having to walk back the 4 hours, is that you can tell your body that there is only one way out of this situation - more walking!
The finishing line was done!!
