1969book Hostel - Cubicle Accommodation
If you are looking for accommodation with the bare necessities, then, 1969book, is it.
Location
Near the exhibition centre at the end of the Blue MTR, Bannan line (I call it Banana line).
A very short walk from Nangang Exhibition Station.
If you are wanting to stay more near Taipei station the this isn't for you.
But, if you're happy to commute or explore, then you might enjoy it.
Clean & Living In A Box
It is very clean.
Your room is a little box.
You have a little storage area, but it cannot hold anything really bigger than a standard backpack.
It's mainly for any valuables so I have my suitcase just in my doorway flap.
The door to your box is a curtain.
Toilets & Showers are communal.
They are further down the corridor.
I forgot to bring the electronic key with me to the toilet, so I had to ring reception to get me back into the sleeping cubes area.
So take you key.
It is refreshing to experience this simple set up.

Cheap I think
Not bad at all. Maybe not in the reach of homeless, but I suspect they wouldn't want to encourage them anyway.
There is a need for a degree of mutual trust within a hostel.
