SASOL at night - What a view !
I had the privilege to play golf with a very good friend this weekend and we stayed over in the Graceland Casino and hotel in Secunda, Mpumulanga, South Africa.
I went to school in the area and know SASOL and the company very well, as most people who live in Secunda, are actually employed by SASOL. I haven’t been in Secunda for many years and it was great to see the old place again :)
The most amazing thing was the view from the hotel. On the one side our view was the golf course and on the other side we had SASOL. What an amazing view especially at night. SASOL must be one of the largest operational plants in the world. s

But I am not writing this post to teach you about SASOL. I am trying to share the view we had from the hotel room, but pictures does not do the actual view any justice :( The place is the size of a small city …
I unfortunately did not have a decent camera with me, and the light was overwhelming my Iphone camera, but here is the best I could take.

WOW! Who would have thought that SASOL could be so beautiful!
I understand that Sasol was built from German technology which the Germans could not make work. It was quite an achievement for a country like South Africa. Now we have sold it.....

Nah man the photo's not that bad, you can still see how great the view is. I have only been to Secunda when I was much younger so don't remember too much. I have been to Sasolburg plenty times those Sasol Plants makes for a great view from far, but damn the smell I don't miss that at all. : )
That's the smoke of energy (commodity) being delivered to thousands of households and businesses.

Yeah the place is amazing, if you really think about it, I think SASOL does it's fair part of pollution, but is still a tremendous feat what the engineers are doing there. Will say hi to Elvis when I am up there again :)

Nice photos, SASOL is a great company, I have not yet visited Secunda or Graceland, I need to go see Elvis!!
