Penfold Wine - an event I attended on board a cruise. This is an Australian Wine producer in Adelaide.

I do not know much about Wine or Liquor but i was attracted to this section on board the cruise. They were displaying all their Penfold Wine, particularly their Penfolds Bin 8 Cabernet Shiraz 750ml.

Just by looking at the photos which i have taken a few to show the whole display area, you can imagine the extensiveness of their Penfolds Vault.

This is another angle of the display area. See the beautifully decorated counter to attract the tourists that were on board the cruise to stop and view their wine and of course to purchase them. They had scheduled time for testing and special offers for those that were interested to buy their wine.

This photo has the Penfold Bin 28 displayed as well as the Bin 8. I personally believed that the number "8" was chosen for a purpose. Why you would ask should this number "8" be of any significant to be displayed verses other Bins.

The Dream Genting is a Casino cum family cruise and because of this, the number "8" which stands for "Luck" is very important to all the gamblers. I guess some of them might be superstitious enough to buy one of these lucky bottles to change their luck. There are also some who won big and want to buy these wine as a celebration to continue their lucky winning streak. So having these Lucky Bin numbers on display can have a psychology effect on these gamblers mind. This is a smart business move to entrance these gamblers and wine connoisseurs. I was educated that a true wine expert needed to undergo many years of training to be knowledgeable about wine.
I do learn a lot from attending this event on board.
